Plant Based Recipes

Sandwich Spreads

Garbanzo & Soy Beans good for the heart and diabetes.

Garbanzo Spread

1 can Garbanzo beans

1 cup Plant-based Mayo

Onion to taste, chopped

Pickles to taste [Bubbies has some with no vinegar], chopped

Pink salt to taste


Blend Garbanzo beans until shredded. Mix everything in a bowl. You can always add more or less of the ingredients, per your preference. Chill and serve.


We do not use black pepper or vinegar due to those being irritants to the digestive system.


Garbonzos helps the nervous system . Protein amino acids helps the brain’s neurotransmitters function p


Tofu Dip

1 Pack Soft Tofu

1/2 Cup Raw Cashews

Pink Salt to taste

2 Tb Garlic Powder

2 Tb Onion Powder

1/4 cup Nutritional Yeast Flakes

Water, varies 


Blend all ingredients while adding small amounts of water at a time. The water allows the consistency to be think or thin.


Scientists have a theory that substances found in  Tofu help slow the development of Parkinsons’s Disease and Alzheimer’.

Tofu "Ricotta Cheese"

1 Firm Tofu

Pink Salt to taste

2 Tb Garlic Powder

2 Tb Onion Powder

Chives, chopped to taste

Cilantro or Parsley


Smash firm tofu in a bowl. Add all ingredients and mix. Garnish with cilantro or parsley, chill, and serve. You can add more ingredients to our taste.


Tomato Excitement

Tomatoes help fight against cancer

Brishetta

 12 slices plant-based French bread or Italian bread, lightly toasted

3 large tomatoes, chopped

1/2 medium red onion

1 tablespoon olive oil

3 tablespoons fresh basil, chopped

1/4 teaspoon sea salt, or kosher salt


Chop tomatoes, onion, and basil leaves. 

Combine the tomatoes, onion, oil, basil, and salt in a covered bowl.

Allow to marinate about 4 hours.

To keep tomatoes from losing flavor, do not refrigerate until ready to store.

Place Brishetta on toasted breast and serve.

Salsa

4 Large Tomatoes (21 oz/600g)

1/2 cup Chopped Onion

8 Sundried Tomatoes (Chopped)

1 Tbsp Olive Oil

1/2 cup Cilantro (roughly chopped)

1 Tbsp Fresh Lime Juice

1 tsp Crushed Garlic

1/ 2 tsp Sea Salt

1 Tbsp Jalapeño Slices

1 tsp Coconut 


Place all ingredients in a food processor and process until well combined but leave a bit of chunkiness to the ingredients. If desired, strain some of the liquid from the salsa. Serve.


Lycopene from tomatoes is good for low

Spaghetti Sauce

1 medium onion, chopped

4 garlic cloves, minced

1 Tbs olive oil

1 can (28 oz) tomato paste

1 Tbs chives, minced

1.5 tsp Italian seasoning (with no cheese or black pepper)

3/4 tsp pink salt

1/8 tsp red pepper flakes


Use oil and cook onions and garlic for 2 minutes. Add everything else and bring to boil. Simmer uncovered for 15 minutes. Serve with pasta, bread, or crackers.


Procesed tomatoes, such as tomato sauce, are a good source of lycopene. Lycopene is good for preserving cognitive function.
